Fia

Fia was born on May 8, 1994 and she moved in with me August 19, the same year. It was shortly after my previous cat Lucas had died. At that time I had another cat too, Sandra - she died in September 1996, and I was not planning on getting another cat, since Lucas had taken so much of my attention. I wanted Sandra to have all my attention for the rest of her life. It did not turn out that way, because when I met Fia she looked at me and "said" My name is Fia and I am going to live with you. Sandra and Fia turned out to be very friendly - after a few fights - and they enjoyed each other's company very much.

Fia is part European and part Norwegian Forest. Her mother is mainly European, but she or the father has some Norwegian Forest genes. Therefore Fia has siblings who look exactly like Norwegian Forest cats, even if Fia herself looks European.

In August 1995 Fia got the opportunity to spend the night with a very handsome Norwegian Forest male, by the name of DaVinci. This night resulted in the birth of four wonderful kittens - two female and two male. These kittens were named Frida, Fritte, Simon and Sessan.

In September 2003, Fia suddenly got sick, and she died after only a couple of weeks' illness.
